Henry Lewis named Florida Memorial University president

Henry Lewis has been named Florida Memorial College president after a national search that drew three finalists.

Lewis, an alumnus at Florida A&M University, served as dean at FAMU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals sciences for 15 years.

According to a press release from FMU, Lewis was announced president Nov. 9, during an afternoon meeting attended by nearly 300 faculty, staff and students.

Located in the City of Miami Gardens, Florida Memorial University is a private, historically Black institution offering 41 undergraduate degree programs and 4 graduate degree programs to a culturally diverse student body.
