A popular New Orleans-inspired cafe has a new location in Tallahassee.
Beignets & Brew has opened its much anticipated West Tennessee Street location, continuing to grow its presence in the Capital City. The cafe’s first Tallahassee location opened last October on Timberlane Road.
Located in the Varsity Place shopping center, this is a great spot to grab a sweet treat after a long day of errands along the commercial corridor of West Tennessee Street. This location keeps the same charming design as the original, tucked into a smaller, cozier space. The walls, decorated with dainty artwork, greenery and soft LED lights, create an ambiance perfect for a relaxing study session or a quick coffee date.
Upon arrival, you’re greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff eager to recommend the perfect treat.
Beignets & Brew’s menu offers a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and alcoholic options like beer, wine, and champagne cocktails. The cafe pairs its drinks with a tempting selection of beignets, ranging from the classic powdered sugar to rich Nutella-drizzled varieties—all equally mouthwatering.
During my visit, I enjoyed the Cinna-Swirl beignets which cost $8.95 and a Pineapple Paradise smoothie which cost $7.95.
The Cinna-Swirl beignets were a flawless balance between a cinnamon roll and the iconic flavors of a beignet. This tasty pastry, topped with cinnamon powder and cinnamon roll icing, was the highlight of my visit.
The Pineapple Paradise smoothie was necessary for a hot day. This smoothie and others on the menu contain no added sugar, making it a sweet addition without being overwhelming. Overall, this was a refreshing complement to the sweetness of the beignets.
Accompanying the recurring menu items are seasonal drinks and treats. Currently, seasonal drinks include the Matcha Lavender Bliss and Raspberry White Mocha. To pair with these drinks is the Blueberry Cobbler Sundae. All three of these menu items are available now until May 25.
