A taste of Southern comfort

Maple Street Biscuit Company, located in the heart of Tallahassee, has grown in popularity among both locals and students. The restaurant, known for its warm, buttery biscuits and unusual Southern-inspired meals, has established a great reputation for superb food and a friendly, welcoming environment. But what really characterizes the experience? Customers and employees to have a deeper understanding.

Maple Street Biscuit Company takes pleasure in providing exceptional customer service, and it shows. Sandy Green, a three-year employee at the restaurant, expressed her love for her job.

“I adore working here,” Green said. “The crew feels like a family, and we take great pride in making sure every customer has a positive experience. We want people to feel at home when they walk through the door.”

From welcoming clients with a polite inquiry rather than the typical name request to ensuring that each meal is carefully prepared. The restaurant strives to establish a personal touch that keeps customers returning.

The major attraction at Maple Street Biscuit Company is, of course, the food. The menu features unique takes on Southern classics, such as fluffy biscuits with fried chicken and gravy and thick and delicious grits. But will it live up to expectations?

Keenan Cowan, a fifth-year MBA candidate at FAMU, likes the food but finds the overall experience a little too formal for his tastes.

“It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but it’s a touch pricey,” Cowan said. “I feel like it’s a place where you have to sit down and take your time, and sometimes I just want a quick meal.”

Leonard Adolphe, a first-year engineering student at FAMU, acknowledges the wait but believes it is worthwhile.

“The line can be long, especially on weekends, but the meal is well worth the wait,” Adolphe said. “The biscuits are fresh, and the flavors are fantastic,”.

Maple Street Biscuit Company is a restaurant that attracts a wide range of opinions, but one thing is certain: the food is unquestionably good. While some may find the atmosphere too fancy or the wait time too long, the entire experience of friendly hospitality and high-quality Southern comfort food has cemented its place in Tallahassee’s eating scene.
