The Florida A&M Rattlers fell to the North Carolina A&T Aggies 16-3 on Saturday afternoon after a mediocre performance from the offense.
The Rattlers had more first downs, total plays, total yards, and time of possession but the offense, led by quarterback Tyler Bass, could not find the end zone.
The game had been a collection of field goals heading into the fourth quarter with NCAT leading 9-3, but Bass’ first pass of the quarter was intercepted and returned for a touchdown.
The Rattlers continued to gain offensive yards, but the two-score deficit became insurmountable as time ran out.
FAMU is now 3-3 in the MEAC (3-6 overall) and will return home to Bragg Stadium to face the North Carolina Central Eagles for FAMU’s 125th Homecoming game.
