The Florida A&M Rattler football lost against the Oklahoma Sooners in a Saturday night showdown.
FAMU lost 69-13 after giving up 662 total yard to the Sooners and trailing the entire game. The Rattlers had 235 total yards of their own but failed to find any consistency offensively or defensively as they were worn down by Oklahoma’s steady passing and rushing attack.
FAMU’s lone touchdown came on a 75 yard touchdown pass from Damien Fleming to Travis Harvey in what was the second biggest play of the game.
The Rattlers were also able to nail two field goals in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, both from 40 yards out, but it would not be nearly enough to challenge the Sooners.
The Rattlers take on the Hampton Pirates next week Saturday at Bragg Stadium in what will be FAMU’s first home game of the season.
