The Florida A&M football team dropped its first conference game of the season to the Hampton University Pirates. Hampton snapped a seven game win streak, that dated back to last season in the 27-17 game.
Lavante Paige led the Rattler’s offensive charge, scoring two rushing touchdowns. Brian Tymes led the aerial assault with eight catches for 94 yards.
After a 348 yard performance against Fort Valley State University, Austin Trainor passed for 109 yards on 18-36 passing and two interceptions.
The team will travel to Tampa, Fla. on Saturday September 17 to take on the University of South Florida at Raymond James Stadium.
