For those who are confused about the title of my blog, Morgan State’s roster is overflowing with size. Cecil Bent (6’9″ and our tallest player) would be the 3rd in size on the Bear’s team.
They feature 7’2″ center, Ian Chiles. Thats too much to handle for anyone on our squad.
6:41 p.m.
Jeremy Dean just took a shot that was well out of his range, a jump shot.
6:51 p.m.
Jumpball goes to the Rattlers. Some aggressive defense by the Rattlers, even if it is man to man.
Yannick Crowder makes his presence felt on the offensive end wit a monstrous dunk.
6:55 p.m.
Contrary to the title of the blog, the Rattlers are having little trouble with Morgan State’s size. The Bears have a collective four points in the paint.

7:00 p.m.
Sean D is sitting next to me and is just telling Avery Moore to shoot every time he touches the ball. I dont think that’s going to win the game Mr. D.
7:04 p.m.
The Rattler’s passing has been less than spectacular. There have been three straight possessions that have ended in turnovers.
7:09 p.m.
Amin Stevens just completed the three point play after a tough layup. That put his scoring total at 7 for the game,

7:13 p.m.
After Larry Jackson takes the charge on one end, Yannick Crowder completes his own three point play on the other. With back to back three point plays, the men close the gap to one.
7:16 p.m.
FAMU goes into halftime with a 29-26 edge. Surprisingly, the largest person in the building has yet to touch the court. But I don’t mind any, as long as we’re winning the game.
7:39 p.m.
Maybe it’s the nature of Morgan State, but both coaches have a tendency to use words that wouldn’t be qualified as nice. It must have worked because their defense forced the Rattlers to take a wild shot.
7:49 p.m.
Two consecutive possession end in two blocks for Yannick Crowder. The Rattlers refuse to give up their now slim lead.
Rattlers 38 Morgan St. 32 11:29 left to play.
7:56 p.m.
FAMU uses a 7-2 run to stretch the lead to double digits for the first time tonight. Too bad the Bears took it away on the next possession.
45-37 FAMU
8:08 p.m.
Right now, Crowder looks like he deserves some sort of award after this performance he is putting on. He is carrying the load on offense (15 pts.) and on defense (3 blks.)
8:10 p.m.
The game appears to be all but over, with the score being 56-42 in favor of FAMU. But we all know this is basketball, anything could happen in 4 minutes.
8:20 p.m.
I’m starting to feel like I need a hotline. An 11-2 run has brought the Bears within 6 with 2:11 left to play.
8:23 p.m.
On a side note, Amin Stevens is having a really tough night. Normally, the offense runs through him but not tonight. He just destroyed an alley-oop pass from Moore, which is pretty much the best way to sum up his night. Meanwhile, Crowder is working hard, taking the charge on the other end to get the ball back.
8:28 p.m.
Christopher Walker has seen his minutes dwindle, but checks in due to Larry Jackson fouling out. No matter with only :12 left, the clock expires and the Rattlers win 63-59.
