The Rattlers came out strong in the opening round by defeating the Howard Bisons 71-58 on Tuesday Night.
Lamar Twitty led the team in scoring with 20 points while two other Rattlers, Dale Hughes and Larry Jackson, ended the night in double figures on Tuesday .
The team’s success from the 3-point line was a key factor as the Rattlers went 68.8 percent (11-16) from behind the arch.
However, the Rattlers were overwhelmed by the number one seed, Morgan State Bears, and its suffocating defense as no Rattler managed to make it to double digits in scoring.
The Bears beat the Rattlers 71-41 on Wednesday night to end the Rattlers aspirations for a bid to the “Big Dance”
