With his current singles, “Naked Hustle” and “Lip Bitin’ Animal” hitting the radio airwaves, upcoming rapper Bizzle gave The FAMUAN a quick interview.
FAMUAN: What upcoming music do you have that you are willing to share?
Bizzle: Right now we have the current singles – “Naked Hustle,” “Lip Bitin’ Animal” and [we] are in the studio recording more records, and about to be featured on other peoples’ albums.
FAMUAN: How was your visit to Florida A&M?
Bizzle: It was great. I had a wonderful time. I was excited to see how many people knew my music and myself. The best part of the trip was hearing people driving up and down Tennessee blasting my music and the crowd’s reaction to the shows.
FAMUAN: What made you decide to come to FAMU’s homecoming?
Bizzle: We got booked for three shows so we had to be there [for the] BET Black College Tour, Vibe Yard Fest, [and the] FAMU Step Show.
FAMUAN: What other artists are you interested in working with?
Bizzle: I am willing to work with any one who is down to work with me, from the Mims to the Ballgreezy to the Black Eyed Peas.
FAMUAN: Bizzle is quite an interesting name. How did you come up with it?
Bizzle: It was the best name I could come up with, but my alias, “Chowtime” is a powerful word. It means time to eat and everyone knows that.
FAMUAN: What do you think about this year’s presidential election?
Bizzle: [It was a] historical moment for the world, especially African-Americans!
FAMUAN: How has your fame affected your life?
Bizzle: Less sleep, more work, but for the most part I’m still the same old me.
FAMUAN: What do you think about the present state of hip-hop?
Bizzle: Hip-hop is what you make it. I make hip-hop music that moves crowds like back in the old days.
FAMUAN: Would you come back to FAMU’s homecoming next year?
Bizzle: Of course. FAMU always make me feel like I’m home so yes I would.
