Variety served up Cinderella style

If you have never dined at The Silver Slipper, you are missing out. While the restaurant may be somewhat pricey for the average college student’s budget, the service and cuisine make the expenses worth it. The atmosphere and the quality of food offered at the Silver Slipper create a dining experience unlike any other Tallahassee has to offer.

Upon entering, you will be greeted and taken to your choice of a table or a private room at no extra charge. You have the option to dine in private with a single table covered in white linen and draped, dark curtains that separate you from the rest of the restaurant.

A server will appear minutes after you are seated to ask your choice of drink. The extensive wine list includes red and white American, Australian, French and Italian wines, with the server also suggesting personal favorites.

The Silver Slipper, known for its tasty Angus steaks, fresh seafood and prime ribs, offers a variety of entrees that will suit all customers. There are tasty appetizers, such as calamari, which comes with a unique dipping sauce and priced at $7.95. For dinner, you can indulge in the grilled shrimp entrée of more than a dozen shrimp symmetrically placed around a bed of rice at a cost of $17.99.

Another good choice is the Surf & Turf, a filet mignon and half of an African lobster tail for $38.99.

The steaks are tender enough to cut with a fork, and the lobsters are seasoned to perfection and will melt in your mouth.

The Silver Slipper also offers a variety of chicken, salads, burgers and sandwiches for lunch. The restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for dinner Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. After dining, guests can also enjoy live jazz in the lobby on Monday nights and karaoke on Tuesday nights.

The restaurant is a great place to impress a date, bring your parents or have receptions for any occasion.
