Prince among nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Twenty-five years after the release of his first album in 1978, Prince is finally on the list of nominees for the 2004 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along several other first-time nominees.

According to the hall of fame, artists are eligible for induction 25 years after their first album release and criteria for consideration is based on the artist’s influence and significance of the artist’s contribution to rock and roll.

 

50 Cent wanted for questioning after shooting

Rapper 50 Cent and members of his entourage are wanted for questioning by police in Jersey City, New Jersey stemming from a shooting that occurred in front of the DoubleTree Hotel shortly after he and his crew entered the hotel.

Police are trying to determine whether or not the shots were fired at 50 and if he knows who may be responsible.

 

Christian Bale goes from psycho to hero 

Actor Christian Bale will play the new Batman. Bale is best known for his starring role in ”American Psycho” and will begin taping for the roll next year.

Bale will be the fourth person to play Batman in the movie version following behind Michael Keaton, Val Kilmar and George Clooney. According to Warner Bros., the new movie will focus on Batman’s early years.

 

Ben and Jen postpone wedding

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have postponed their wedding date indefinitely due to excessive media attention for the details of their wedding.

The couple released a joint press statement explaining the reason for the delayed nuptials. According to MTV, the couple said, “When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry.”

The couple was reportedly planning to marry Sunday at an estate in Santa Barbara, Calif.
