Erica Butler

From the beautiful crab state of Maryland, Erica Butler was always destined for success. Growing up as the only child, she had time to tap into all clubs and activities such as Girl Scouts of USA, the biblical group AWANA, swimming, dance and music which led to her to attend a performing arts school, Thomas G. Pullen. "One of the most pivotal moments in my life was studying abroad," Erica said. Through the People to People program, Erica was a student ambassador to Australia for a month. Erica said her experience in middle school tapped into her creativity and gave her the desire and skill to attend Eleanor Roosevelt High School, recognized as a Silver Medal School in 2008. There, she was in the Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) program, which provided her with a passion to work in the media field. She was heavily involved with student television station at Roosevelt as well as the Debate Club, National Association for Black Engineers and student government. During her high school tenure, she was actively involved with the Washington Association of the National Association of Black Journalists for two years. She holds many positions on campus including, Precinct Supervisor for the Electoral Commission, Chair of Communications for the Sophomore and Junior Class Cabinet, News Editor for The Famuan and more. So far, she has landed internships with Congressman Albert Wynn D-MD on Capitol Hill, the  U.S.Department of Education and CBS in New York. She aspires to be a news producer, writer and a philanthropist.

Well ... Whatever a son do to his father, even if it is good or bad, its understandable and explainable. It all depends on how good or bad father a father did act for his son. BUT, if a father would do the same to his son, it says a lot about that person. A father who wouldnt care to jail his own son no matter what, and also, for MONEY, is capable of anything. A father should even give his life for his own son, no matter what.. So I trully believe that if many people are calling this RK guy a scammer, then they should be right. This RK should not be a saint.

To the FAMUAN:

Thanks for remembering the Tallahassee Woolworth freedom sit-ins of 2009.
In addition to sit-ins by FAMU students,
there was one sit-in (March 12?) where ["white"] Florida State University students also sat-in, and got arrested along with black FAMU students.
Multi-racial sit-ins were rare in 1960, in the South.
For details please see your archives for March 1960;
and those of FLORIDA FLAMBEAU, which was then the FSU student newspaper.

Greetings,

Just a FYI- A recent story about the proposes FAMU Dental School had this comment- "If funding is approved, FAMU will be the first Historically Black College and University with a school of dentistry." Unfortunately, Howard University has the 5th oldest Dental School in the United States and was established in 1881. Meharry also has a Dental School. A retraction is clearly called for in this case??

Just want to know why there is never any mention of the wrestling team in the sports section. They receive no funding from the school, do their own fundraising to travel to tournaments to represent FAMU, and are having a successful year. I understand that after their first invitational tournament, which they hosted at FAMU, they sent photos and information but still no mention. The coaches are both FAMU graduates. This past weekend they traveled to Orlando to compete and had some successes, sure they are worth a mention.

Erica, The article "Students donate plasma in exchange for cash" is incorrect. I work for Southeastern Community Blood Center. We are a nonprofit community blood center regulated by FDA and accept volunteer blood donations only. Blood donors are never offered cash; FDA forbids paying for donations at community blood centers. We would appreciate you putting a correction in your next online issue. Yuo can contact me at cdaws@scbcinfo.org for additional information about donating blood to save local lives.

This online site is unusual in that none of the staff has email addresses. IF you look at newspaper sites across the country you will see that 95% of them list an email address for each editor and reporter. This make it easier to send an email. To do it in the present configuration, a person has to spend time drilling down to the "comment" box and then go through the additional rigamarole of entering a security code.
P.S. At the risk of being called a sexist pig, I must state that, judging by the beauty of the females on the Famuain staff, it is obvious to me that I chose the wrong school at which to matriculate.

MARCEL KATZ , OWNER OF FAMOUZ KIDS IS SYUING HIS DAD IN PANAMA.

My name is Reynald Henry Katz, I am Marcel Katz“s father , I like to inform you that MARCEL KATZ who is on parole or probation because he was arrested twice in Tallahassee for agravated battery , is actually suing me in Panama , Republic of Panama.

Marcel told me yesterday that he does not care to sue me because he wants to please his Mom from whom I am separated since 2001 and which only intention is to freeze the assets that I made after the separation. Marcel Katz has filed 14 law suits against me in Panama for FRAUD, EMBEZELMENT , FORGERY to please his MOM.

Marcel is a selfish person who is always looking for fights all the time, he believes that he is the right one and that the other peoples are the wrong ones.

Marcel would do anything for MONEY and as you see he is ready to put his father in JAIL for money.

I want to place an official complaint against MARCEL KATZ , I am asking you to review his case, in order to make sure that you are not letting someone free that in fact is dangereous for the society.

Please feel free to contact me at any time, let me know if I have to go to Talahassee to testify against him , I a doing to him the same thing as he is doing to me in Panama .

I have asked MARCEL to withdraw from the 14 cases ( law suits ) against me and he is refusing !

Kind regards
