Rattlers lose big in rematch with Eagles

The Rattlers suffered their largest margin of defeat this season in a rematch with North Carolina Central.

The Eagles (18-5, 9-1 MEAC) played with a vengeance, making up for a loss to the Rattlers (8-16, 4-7 MEAC) on Jan.11 with Monday’s 92-49 victory.

Florida A&M trailed 47-36 at the half and was held to just 13 second-half points. Offense was a struggle in the second half as the team shot a 5 of 30 from the field.

Jamie Adams led the Rattlers with 12 points, five assists and two steals. Reggie Lewis chipped in with 10 points as well, despite shooting just 3 of 14. And Trey Kellum also contributed 10 points, four rebounds and a steal.

The Rattlers will return home to play Coppin State on Saturday.
