A line of customers waited outside anxiously to check out the new adventure park in town at the public grand opening of Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1644 Governor’s Square Blvd. The hours for the adventure park are Monday through Thursday 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Parents along with their children waited outside since 8:30 a.m. hoping to be the first 200 people in line to win free basic access for a year with the purchase of an Ultimate Pass. This giveaway was a part of a special advertised on the businesses’ Facebook page.

Assistant Manager of Urban Air Tallahassee. Eddie Newman, hoped the energy of the guests would continue throughout the day.

“Business has been booming [and] we are excited to be here,” Newman said. “We have been eagerly waiting for the grand opening and now that it is here we are excited.”

Newman went on to say birthday parties can take place at the adventure park and the business was booked for the month of March. The park includes activities such as “Lazer Fury”, “Sky Rider”, “Battle Beam”, “Wipeout”, and “Rope Course” just to name a few.

Construction for the new adventure park began back in September of 2018. What was once previously the building for Sport’s Authority now holds the new adventure park.

With over 11 attractions customers can choose from flying around the adventure park with the Sky Rider attraction, playing an old fashion game of dodgeball, going head to head with the sword fighting on the battle beam with their friends, or testing out their inner ninja warrior on the warrior course.

First time customer Chelsea Holloman was amazed at all the different activities she was able to choose from.

“I had a great time. I love at the attractions it’s a great place to come and have fun with your friends on the weekends,” Holloman said. “I can’t wait to come back and try the sky rider.”

Kids under the age of seven can enjoy the “Bowl” which is a wall to wall trampoline area without the interaction of the older kids. Adults can unwind with massage chair throughout the park and enjoy drinks from the cafe.

Not only does the adventure provide fun for local residents, it also provides jobs. The business is looking to add in all areas of staff including team members, party hosts, court monitors.

Party host at Urban Air Tallahassee, Shiva Saintfort, expressed her work environment was just as exciting as the park itself.

“I love the atmosphere. Everyone is happy and it's a kid-friendly adventure park,” Saintfort said. “At Urban Air, there are so many things to here we have zip lining, rock climbing, trampoline, dodgeball, etc.”

For those looking to do something fun and immersive to do the family can enjoy, the Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park will most likely be your new destination.
