The Blu Halo: Fine dining at its best

Finding a restaurant that matches its name is very rare. Have you ever seen a restaurant that was blue?

One of the first things that you noticed when walking into The Blu Halo is that it is indeed blue, or at least the lighting is.

The Blu Halo came about in 2016 and is well known for its martini and wine bar, along with steaks and seafood. Speaking of the martinis, there is a $100 martini that is available. Luckily, there is a happy hour on Monday- Friday from 5-7 p.m. for half off.

It is seen from taking one step in The Blu Halo that it is well known for wines … the names of them are hanging on the walls around the restaurant.

Finding The Blu Halo can be a tad challenging. This is because it is in a plaza almost halfway to Georgia from FAMU and the words on the signs are small.

It is located on Bannerman Road, which is about 30 minutes away from the universities in Tallahassee. This may be a good thing seeing as you need an actual salary to eat here judging by the dinner prices, which my party of 13 and I were a bit taken aback by.

Luckily, the brunch menu is very affordable and it will leave people with a full belly. It is only offered on Saturdays and Sundays.

The brunch menu can range from chicken and waffles to omelets, there is something for everyone. I had the Sticky Chicken & Waffles, which were a reasonable price of $12. The dinner menu is the same as well, meaning there is something for everyone.

There is a lot of room in this restaurant. For instance, it is very suitable for a private dinner and a much larger party.

The Blu Halo gives off a tranquil vibe. This is probably because of the color, the furniture, and the patient servers.

Gorgeous, clean and quick – and well worth the drive.
