It's not the fact that they have no money, but the fact of how much money their actions affected. The government was frauded and who knows what else was affected. I don't want a pharmacy student that failed a important class to their major, giving me a prescription. Do you ?

Money is why there's a difference.. T.I. got credit for time served already. When did this crime occur?

Im devided on whether or not the sentencing is appropiate. If T.I is going to jail for 366 days for gun charges why are these boys going to jail for over two years for changing grades. Now time in jail is appropiate yes, but the length of time seems a little outragous to me. Then there is also the question of race and if the severity is due to factors outside of the crime itself.
