			<title>FAMU accreditation is back on track</title>

			<description>The Southern Association for Colleges and Schools (SACS) Thursday lifted the probation of Florida A&amp;M University and reinstated their accreditation.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
During its annual meeting, SACS removed FAMU from probation and requested no further reports.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&quot;We have been able to solve and address the critical issues that threatened the very existence of this university,&quot; said FAMU President James H.</description>

&quot;They are now in compliance with all of our standards,&quot; said Belle Wheelan, president of the Commission of Colleges of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.</description>

An internal investigation by the Audit and Compliance, launched in February resulted in the firings and dismissals. The law school&apos;s acting registrar Deborah Swain, program assistant Carol Rojas, and assistant director of admissions Derrien Bonney, have all been let go.</description>
