Electoral commission announces fall 2021 election results

After a successful Fall election season, the results are in. The FAMU Electoral Commission announced the fall 2021 election results this Tuesday, Oct. 5.

The announcement was held via Instagram, offering convenience to all those who were interested in attending.

Prevailing as Freshman Class President and Vice President, with 73.3 percent of the votes, is Kayla Delcham and her running mate Jailah Hollister.

In the first seat for Freshman Senator, leading with a total of 640 votes, is Isaiah Lysse. Following Lysse are newly elected senators Kobe Buggs, Dioby Cherisme, Trinity Kyles, Machia Sanders, Haylee Thomas, Loryn May, and Londe Mondelus.

The Graduate Attendant for the 2021-2022 academic year is Raven Fennell-McCaskill, winning with 83 votes.

For Freshman Attendant there will be a run-off between Chloe McCurry and Zhoe Thomas being held Thursday, Oct. 7.

After a successful fall election season, the results are finally in. The Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University Electoral Commission announced the fall 2021 runoff election results this Thursday, Oct. 7.

The first round of results was announced Tuesday, Oct. 5. Similar to the previous release of results, the announcement was held via Instagram, offering convenience to all those interested in hearing the results.

Zhoe Thomas triumphed in the race for Freshman Attendant, winning with 70.12% of the votes.

As announced earlier this week, Raven Fennell-McCaskill won Graduate Attendant.

Kayla Delcham and Jailah Hollister were elected as Freshman Class President and Vice President, with 73.3% of the votes.

The newly elected Freshman Senators include Isaiah Lysse, Kobe Buggs, Dioby Cherisme, Trinity Kyles, Machia Sanders, Haylee Thomas, Loryn May and Londe Mondelus.
