I’ve heard about a vendor who serves delicious lemonade, so I set out to see what the hype was all about.

As I walked down Perry Street, I was drawn to a crowd that surrounded the OH LEMONADE, INC stand.

I was excited to taste the product and hear their story. If you are looking for a tasty, refreshing beverage that won’t break the bank, try Oh LEMONADE. It offers a variety of options that include flavors such as mango, pineapple, strawberry, blueberry, lime, and cherry.

If you prefer a more traditional taste, opt for the original lemonade or tropical tea for only $4 a cup. All drink options are made with 100 percent natural sugar cane instead of artificial sweeteners.

Oh Lemonade, is owned and operated by Dwayne Ash.

Since 2011, Ash has set up shop at home games as well as traveled to festivals and events to serve his refreshing beverages.

If you happen to miss him on The Hill, he is conveniently located near FAMU’s campus with his storefront in Railroad Square Art Park at 618 McDonnell Dr.

“I must admit that the customer service was excellent. The server was friendly, engaged and had great communication skills. She was also very patient and suggested different options to a newbie like myself. Also, the quality of the lemonade is amazing its natural, fresh and tastes amazing. Everyone that talks about Chick Fil-A having the best lemonade, you must haven’t tried Oh Lemonade,” Robert McCain said.

Ash says that the best seller is the Tropical Paradise because it has lot of fruit mix. It includes a mix of peaches, pineapples, strawberries and mangoes in a citrus base.

Adam Zellers said Blueberry Bliss is his all-time favorite because he loves blueberries and “it has plenty of them.”

Ash says prices stay the same, no matter he is at a FAMU game, a festival, events, or at his shop in Railroad Square.

The price of the lemonade is only $5 a cup.  And if you wanted to come back and try every flavor it would be no worries — refills are only $3.

Most attend FAMU football games to watch the band and the football game. There are also others who attend to see what vendors are selling from lemonade, T-shirts, hats, seafood, and sweets. If you are one of those who only go to watch the football game, make sure you put time to the side to visit Oh LEMONDADE.
