A new Planet Fitness has opened in the former Winn Dixie on South Monroe Street.

A new Planet Fitness has opened near Florida A&M University. The Planet Fitness is located on South Monroe Street. This is convenient for people who live on the south side and love to work out.
This Planet Fitness opened last Friday and it plans on having a grand opening later this month.
“There is not a lot of things on the south side, so I feel putting a Plant Fitness here definitely made it a little better. Especially, being next to the college, a lot of college kids come in here, it’s definitely convenient,” said Planet Fitness manager Alyssa Nason.
Planet Fitness is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This location has more updated equipment.
“I was so excited about the opening of this new Planet Fitness, now I can work out at 2 a.m. and it’s right down the street from my house,” said FAMU student Daryl Johnson.
A membership at Planet Fitness is $10 a month, which includes access to the gym, training and free Wi-Fi. A black card membership at Planet Fitness is $20 a month.
This deluxe membership includes access to the gym, training, free Wi-Fi, reciprocal use at all Planet Fitness locations and guest privileges at all locations, hydro-massage, tanning, massage chairs, and total body enhancement. This Planet Fitness has the new hydro-massage bed, customers can use to either lay down on or La-Z-Boy style.
This Planet Fitness has an exclusive PF 360, a multifunction training system that helps people get a full body workout. Planet Fitness provides all members with free and unlimited training classes.
“I’m always working out so when I found out about this Planet Fitness I was happy. I’ve been a member of theirs for years, I’m glad I don’t have to travel far to go anymore, I can literally go whenever,” said FAMU student Moses Lordeus.
