Just three months after the 8th year anniversary of Lady Luck Boutique, owner Tiffany Hadley continues her annual tradition: Sip and Shop.

The Oct. 5 event caters to Florida A&M University students, alumni and women all over who would like to engage with business owners while enjoying refreshments and shopping.

Lady Luck Boutique first opened at the Tallahassee mall. After four years, the store moved to its current location at 1533 S. Monroe St.

“I love fashion, and there was nothing around town that was fashionable for women,” Hadley said.

The store provides clothing of all sizes, for all occasions including accessories, handbags and clutches.

Vivian Momah, a Nigerian business owner of NAIJA LUXE, who will be featured at Sip and Shop, provides luxury handbags, clutches, totes, duffle bags and more that incorporates her love for African roots and love for fashion.

"With June being the company’s one-year anniversary, NAIJA LUXE has reached customers nationally as well as internationally, in countries such as France, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, and the U.K.," says Momah.

Sip and Shop will also feature FAMU alumna Tia Coleman, a podcast host of “TiaVsFancyCash” and business coach for The Fancy Firm. Her podcast

streams over 15,000 listeners every Monday where young, black, business owners and the society get a platform to connect and advertise their business. What drives her listeners to her are the “taboo topics on relationships, life in and beyond college, business start-ups, and other hot topics,” says Coleman.

As a business coach for young entrepreneurs, Coleman pushes business owners to find their niche and make a profit from their passion. Coleman said, “New Rattlers will have the advantage of meeting me face to face for the same opportunity as well.”

Hadley, like her guest speakers, has worked hard to prepare for this event and encourages everyone to take advantage of the opportunities that are being offered to the community.

Students with their FAMU ID will receive 10 percent off purchases.
