The HBCU Shuttle Bus Expands Routes

The HBCU shuttle bus, which recently was limited to very few destinations has now expanded its routes and is back and in full effect.

This shuttle service is a quick and convenient way for HBCU students from Atlanta, GA all the way down to Miami,FL to get home with ease.

The HBCU shuttle bus runs on all major holidays allowing students a cost efficient option for getting home.

Regular Weekend transportations are now available on the 3rd weekend of every month from Florida A&M University, Edward Waters College, Florida Gulf Coast University and Bethune Cookman Unviversity to/from south Florida.

“I remember taking this bus my freshman year. I’m glad to see it’s back and picking up students from a wider variety of locations. I hope it stays in business for a lot longer,” Janik Hall, a 4th year Biology major at Bethune Cookman, said.

The contracted fleet of motor coaches provides convenient drop off and pick up locations for students in the south Florida area.

Many students find it hard to be cost efficient when trying to travel home for a weekend to visit loved ones.

“As a freshman its super annoying to try and find a way home to Miami without paying over $200 dollars for the Red Coach or having to deal with the 3 hour layovers with the Mega Bus,” Kijana King, a 1st Year General Education student at Florida A&M University, said.

Each bus provides security, on board navigation systems, and a comfortable ride home with no lay overs or long stops.

Eunice Diaz, street team marketing coordinator for HBCU shuttle bus, said, “being that we have a wider variety of destinations, we will be able to better accommodate more students.”

You can contact the HBCU shuttle bus Monday-Friday 10AM-7PM and Saturdays 10AM-5PM at 305-951-9275 or 540-212 4228.
