Lady Rattlers win rematch against NCCU

The Lady Rattlers bounced back from their road loss on Saturday with a 70-63 win in a rematch against North Carolina Central.

A competitive first half found both teams tied going into the second half. The Lady Rattlers (12-12, 6-5) went on a 13-2 run at the beginning of the second half and dominated for the rest of the game.

The flow of the game favored the Lady Rattlers as they were able to lead for all but 5:19 in the game.

Graduate student guard Jasmine Grice finished with a game-high 34 points on 14-of-24 shooting from the field. Grice also collected five rebounds, three assists, four steals and a block.

Redshirt junior guard Jessica Freeman led the Lady Eagles (8-15, 3-7) offensively, scoring a team-high 21 points on 8-for-25 shooting from the field.

The Lady Rattlers return home for a conference matchup Saturday against Coppin State in the Al Lawson Center at 4 p.m.
