Free throws were not on the Rattlers’ side as they lost to North Carolina A&T, 84-78.
Senior guard Jamie Adams led Florida A&M with 14 points in a loss to North Carolina A&T on Saturday night.
A little after the half, NC A&T led by as many as 16 points, but the Rattlers (8-14, 4-6 MEAC)charged back late in the, only trailing by four within the final minutes.
Sophomore forward Trey Kellum almost recorded a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds on the night. Senior guards Reggie Lewis and Jomari Bradshaw each chipped in with 13 points.
The Aggies (8-17, 4-6 MEAC), which had lost four of their last five home contests, avenged an earlier loss to the Rattlers on Jan. 13 in Tallahassee.
The Rattlers’ next game will be against North Carolina Central University on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Durham, N.C.
