ULTA Beauty brings variety to Governors Marketplace

ULTA Beauty, one of the largest national beauty chains, will open a store in Tallahassee on Friday at Governors Marketplace.

Customers will get to test and sample more than 20,000 beauty products. Kai Butler, a senior occupational wellness student from Jacksonville, Fla., is anticipating the stores opening.

Im so excited for ULTA to come to town, Butler said. Tallahassee doesnt have a lot to choose from when it comes to beauty stores.

ULTA Beauty stores are illuminated to give the effect of natural lighting, which allows guests to see the true shade of products that they test in the store. A street of shops approach, with areas devoted to specific product categories, makes it easier for customers to find what they need and to explore new products.

The new beauty supply store is a much-needed addition to Tallahassee, according to local resident Imani Tucker. She recently relocated from Jacksonville and is disappointed in the variety of beauty supplies Tallahassee has to offer.

It’s great that Tallahassee is going to have more options for beauty supplies,” Tucker said. Jacksonville has so many beauty outlets to choose from, so its great Tallahassee is getting a beauty superstore.”

ULTA Beauty invites guests to celebrate the weekend. Special offers and beauty treats during its grand-opening weekend will include free gifts, makeovers and consultations. Also, the first 100 guests to visit the store each day, Friday through Sunday, will receive free gift certificates ranging from $5 to $100.

Carolyn Sutphen, an event planner at ULTA Beauty, said future customers should look the store up on Facebook to learn more about products they offer.

“Those who are not familiar with ULTA Beauty can visit facebook.com/ULTA to learn more information and view a video showing what our stores look like,” Sutphen said.
