SGA elections are underway

Stanley Hardy IV and LaCandria Churchill decided to run for Student Government Association president and vice president because of their working relationship and similar political involvement on and off campus. Hardy is a fourth-year political science student from Key West and Churchill is a fourth-year political science student from Chicago. Both candidates once served as director of student lobbying for SGA. Hardy’s campus involvement includes serving as a student senator for the past two academic years. Churchill served as junior class president from 2011-2012 and is currently social action chair of the Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Anthony Siders II and Evan Bailey chose to run for SGA President and Vice President because they feel they “are the perfect mixture of ambition and experience.” Siders, a fourth-year political science student from West Palm Beach, is an active member of the student senate and has authored appropriation legislation affording more than $300,000 to clubs and organizations on campus. He is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.Bailey, a second-year accounting student from Lee’s Summit, Mo., is currently serving as senate pro tempore. Bailey is also a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity.
