FAMU adds MC Lyte as halftime entertainment

The university has confirmed that hip-hop legend, MC Lyte, will perform at the third home game against South Carolina State University on October 20. 

This football game is also the Prince Hall Shriners Foundation Diabetes Classic and Parents weekend. 

MC Lyte is known as a well-respected female hip-hop artists since appearing on the scene in 1988 with her debut album, “Lyte As A Rock.” 

With ten albums under her belt, she is praised as a pioneer that open doors for many female hip-hop artists performing today. 

FAMU already announced that the entertainment lineup for the first home game against Hampton University on September 15 will include a halftime performance by major recording artist FUTURE.

The second home game against Savannah State University on October 13 will feature a halftime performance by local Tallahassee marching bands from James S. Rickards High School and the FAMU Developmental Research School.
