Future Comes to FAMU for Football Half-Time Show

Florida A&M has promised to bring rapper Nayvadius “Future” Cash to its first home-game half-time show this football season. 

“This is an exciting time for FAMU football, and the Athletics program has created an energetic and vibrant halftime production to give fans and supporters a spectacular experience,” Athletics Director Derek Horne was quoted as saying in a press statement from FAMU. “Having Future perform at the first home game sets the tone of what fans can expect throughout the entire season.””

In addition to Future’’s halftime performance, the university also plans tto host DJ battles each game, including, among others,  DJ Will “‘Power“’ Packer of Rainforest Films.

He is a FAMU graduate who has launched a company Rainforest Films and produced films such as “Stomp the Yard,” “Obsessed” and most recently “Think Like a Man.”  

Local radio personality Joe Bullard will serve as the game’s‘ MC and keep the energy and excitement level high among game attendees.

In celebration of the university’’s 125th anniversary, the FAMU Athletics program takes on a brand new energy this season unveiling a new theme – “Our Team, Our Time. Respect the Game.”

Opponents for this year’’s home games include Hampton University as the opening game on September 15, Savannah State University on October 13, South Carolina State University on October 20, and the homecoming game celebrating FAMU’s 125th anniversary on November 10 against North Carolina Central University.
