SGA Hosts Meet-and-Greet with Interim President Robinson Today

Florida A&M’s Student Government Association will host a town hall session in the group exercise room of the Hansel E. Tookes Recreation Center Thursday at 4 p.m. to introduce the new interim president Larry Robinson to students. Thursday’s meeting was scheduled in response to the news of former President James Ammons’ resignation that took immediate effect Monday.

Michael Jefferson, SGA VP, said the event will include a segment where you can ask the new president questions via Facebook or Twitter with the hash tag #AskThePresident or #MeetThePresident but the hash tag is still in the works.

Breanna Moore, 23, criminal justice student from Miami plans  to attend to meet the new president. Moore expresses her excitement and concern for the new changes FAMU is going through.

“I’m not exactly sure this is the best idea, but I’m sure he’s the most qualified,” said Moore.

Kennard Stevens, student, 22, encourages students to stay informed via Twitter. “This is your university we’re talking about,” said Stevens.
