At FAMU, Angela Davis Calls for More Attention to Women’s Issues

Notedy activist Angela Davis Thursday called for greater response to violence against women and increased protection for marginalized communities. The former Black Panther was speaking to a full house at Florida A&M’s Lee Hall where she delivered the final presentation of a week of Women’s History Month-themed events, dubbed “Young, Black and Gifted.”

See Monday’s edition of The Famuan in print for a full story on Davis’ presentation to hundreds of Tallahassee residents.
