Scott urges BOT to reconsider Anti-Hazing Committee decision

Gov. Rick Scott emailed Florida A&M Board of Trustees Chairman Solomon Badger Tuesday night expressing “disappointment” in changes made to the university’s Anti-Hazing Committee’s mission.

The BOT, with a 7-2 vote, approved the Anti-Hazing Committee’s plan to focus on fact finding that will allow its members to discuss their work outside of public meetings during a March 23 telephone meeting, requiring the seven committee members to provide facts about anti-hazing instead of recommendations.
