Filmmaker Will Packer to Premiere ‘Think Like A Man’ in Tallahassee

Florida A&M alumnus Will Packer will speak at the School of Journalism & Graphic Communication in Room 2002 today as part of the “History Teaching History” program presented by Walmart.

Packer will also promote his upcoming movie, “Think Like a Man,” which is based on comedian Steve Harvey’s book, “Act like A Lady, Think Like A Man.”

Packer is the co-founder and chairman of Rainforest Films, which he founded with friend Rob Hardy while a student at Florida A&M.

He has produced and directed several films including “Stomp the Yard,” “Takers,” “Obsessed” and “This Christmas.”

Packer travels the world to give motivational speeches and has been presented with the Key to the City from his hometown St. Petersburg.

He was also honored with the Meritorious Achievement Award from FAMU, the highest honor that the University bestows, according to the Rainforest Films website.

“Think Like A Man” is set for release April 20. There will be a movie screening Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at AMC Tallahassee Mall 20.
