Grammy-nominated Young Money rapper Drake is bringing his Club Paradise Tour to the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center on Feb. 24 at 8 p.m.
Drake’s second studio album “Take Care,” which is the inspiration for this tour, debuted in November at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was the biggest first-week Soundscan tally of Drake’s career with more than 630,000 units sold.
He currently has three high-charting radio singles “Headlines,” “Make Me Proud,” featuring Nicki Minaj and club banger “The Motto,” featuring Lil Wayne.
Up and coming rappers Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky are scheduled to join Drake on his tour as his special guests.
Both rappers have made their own breakthrough on the music scene and have quite a fan base here in Tallahassee.
“I am so excited about this tour! Drake, Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky all in one place is really amazing,” said Florida A&M student and music lover Aleshia Miller.
“It’s definitely going to be a night to remember. A night of good music.”
Florida State student Darletha Destine said, “I’ve already got my ticket! I wasn’t going to let this tour pass me by. Tallahassee needed this concert. Finally, something to look forward to.”
Ticket prices start at $37.75. They are available at the Civic Center box office and all Ticketmaster outlets.
