This year’s homecoming Comedy showcase starts tonight at 7 p.m with the theme “Every day a star is born.”
“The talent portion of the show will include eight to nine acts including two group performers that are all vying for the top spot,” said Brandon Hill, the comedy showcase’s coordinating chair.
Headlining the comedy show is Lavell Crawford, who has made appearances
on “Def Comedy Jam,” “Showtime at Apollo” and “Last Comic Standing.”
The show’s host is La Luv, who was featured in three of BET’s “Comic View” series.
Students are looking forward to the show that brings in big laughs.
“Homecoming is a time where students come together with alumni, faculty and
staff along with the community,” said Hill. “My main goal as chair is to ensure that everyone who enters the Lawson Center enjoys themselves.”
