FAMU Students: Get Your Say on Restructuring before It’s Too Late

Time is running out for Florida A&M students to comment on President James Ammons’ restructuring proposal.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and other stakeholders have until 5 p.m. Friday to send comments and concerns regarding Ammons’ plan to reshape Florida A&M University by closing or merging low productivity programs and trimming payroll.

Letters should be emailed to restructuring@famu.edu.

The Board of Trustee meets Wednesday and Thursday April 6 and 7. The Wednesday sessions begin at 9 a.m. and consist mostly of workshops and committee meetings.

President Ammons is scheduled to present the formal proposal to the Board of Trustees on Thursday April 7 at 8:30 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom. For details of the proposal visit the Restructuring Page on the FAMU website.
