The Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference (MEAC) cross country championships will be held on Saturday in Landover, Md.

Continuing his surge for the individual MEAC title, team captain Shuaib Winters will lead the men’s side.  Winters has the number four ranking in times posted from the MEAC this season.  Alongside Winters, leading the charge is co-captain Lamere Buchanan. Buchanan is tied for tenth in the rankings.

Men’s head coach Wayne Angel has consistently been praised the efforts of his team throughout his first season with the team.

The Women’s team will go into the championships with three runners ranked in the top 20. Clarrisia Golden tops the list at number eight. Three spots back is Chandelic Jackson at number 11 and Shanay Mayes rounds out the list at number 18.

Women’s head coach Darlene Moore has been impressed by her young team’s maturity throughout the season.  The team, featuring a roster of six freshmen and one sophomore, has won first place three times this season.

Both teams will be heading out Wednesday at midnight.
