FAMU Student Health Services and the Campus Recreation Center starts the biggest loser competition

For years, Americans have been glued to their televisions, losing weight along with the contestants on NBC’s The Biggest Loser.

Now, Florida A&M has brought the weight-loss challenge to the campus recreational center.

FAMU Student Health Services and the Campus Recreation Center have paired to start an initiative to get students and faculty on the right track to live healthy lifestyles by getting fit.

14 contestants will embark on a 12-week program that will teach nutrition and the importance of active living.

Director of FAMU Health Tanya Tatum said, “the program would be a great way to get students and faculty involved in losing weight.”
