South Carolina Lt. Gov Andre Bauer lacks brains

S outh Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer is quoted saying, “My grandmother told me as a small child to quit feeding stray animals…because they breed. You’re facilitating the problem of you give an animal or a person ample food supply.” He was equating poor people to stray animals. Presumably, these people are minorities.

In actuality, I am not surprised at the foolishness this public figure allowed to come out of his mouth.

I have come to the conclusion that the inhabitants of this Earth have lost their minds-animals and humans alike.

People who are supposed to be public figures and role models are reviving racism slowly but surely; but it was probably never dead. Bauer’s statement was no different from the monkey being shot by the police illustration in an early 2009 edition of the New York Times.

The illustration read something similar to “I guess they’ll have to find somebody else to sign their healthcare bill.” It was a blatantly racist illustration and caption referencing then newly inaugurated President Obama. But nothing was done- just like nothing will be done to Bauer.

At most, he will get a slap on the hand, a mild scolding, and, after a public apology from him; he will be governor in no time.

SThe article I read says Bauer “hopes to succeed fellow Republican Mark Sanford as his state’s governor.” It must be the blind leading the blind because Sanford just admitted to having an affair. What type of people are we voting into office to uphold the Constitution?

The ignorant actions of people, especially in the public eye, are endless these days.
