Campus Holiday Safety Tips

Tips from the FAMU Department of Public Safety

Carry your University-issued RattlerCard. FAMU police officers will be checking for identification of persons who appear suspicious.

Always lock your door, even if you intend to return shortly or are just going down the hall to the bathroom or a friend’s room.

Lock all doors and windows when you are sleeping, no matter what floor.

Keep your ATM/bank cards in a safe place. Never reveal your pin number to anyone.

Never loan your dorm access card to anyone.

Check around your car as you walk up to it and check inside before entering the vehicle.

Avoid unlit/secluded areas, especially at night.

Walk with groups of people at night.
