Athletic director Bill Hayes has officially been hired by Winston-Salem State University, according the the Winston Salem Journal.
Hayes announced his resignation, effective Dec. 31, while associate athletic directors Alvin Hollins and Robert McBee were forced out by President James Ammons.
Haye’s new contract will be a three-year contract worth around $130,000 a year. Hayes will start his employment as the fulltime AD Jan. 1. Hayes will also have to give up his North Carolina retirement stipend before he can start recieving paychecks.
The Famuan could not reach Hayes for comment at this time.
