Fight on the Set leads to two arrests

On Tuesday, two Florida A&M University students were arrested for fighting on the Set, according to assistant chief of police James Lockley.

Limited information was given because of the ongoing investigation, but Lockley said eight students were also in custody but were later released.

Lockley said the brawl started between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. and that the males used sticks and umbrellas as weapons.

“One had to have stitches above their eye and that same person also had a cut over their nose,” Lockley said.

Several cop cars and students were on the scene after the fight ended. Officers proceeded to take a few students in custody for questioning on how the fight happened.

“We try to filter out what occurred to find out who the guilty parties are,” Lockley said.

Lockley said that several calls were made to him on his cell phone and police dispatchers received calls along with 911 emergencies.
