Track Coach Resigns

On August 27, Florida A&M University track and field coach, Walter McCoy, formally resigned from his position as head coach.

Former coach McCoy was arrested and charged with unemployment comp fraud by the Tallahassee Police Department on August 24, but was released to his home the same day.

The resignation came exactly one week after an August 20 press conference announcing McCoy’s appointing as head coach of the men’s track team and Darlene Moore’s appointing as the head coach of the women’s track team.

As of this issue, a new head coach has not been named.
