Musical blog ready to release custom mixtape

Music lovers now have a place to express themselves and call home, The Korner Store, a newfound music blog.

According to the The Korner Store’s founder, Kelley Chapman, the site was established January of this year.

He said it was created for people to come in contact with some of the untapped talent who needed an outlet for their music.

The Korner Store is a music blog geared solely for up and coming artists, as well as established artists to promote their music and be heard nationwide.

“Each day we post new music, new interviews, and new videos of your favorite artist for the public to see,” Chapman said. “All of the music on the Web site is free to download, including mixtapes.”

The site also has standards that promote good ethics. Chapman said they do not post any albums because they are strong believers in supporting the artist.

And not only does The Korner Store provide a place for music, but they also cover news.

“Whether it is fashion, sports, politics, comedy, or current events, you can find it at our blog,” he said. “You can also find documentaries, news articles and album reviews.”

The people at the blog are releasing a mixtape this Friday and want Rattlers to support them.

“The Korner Store Volume 1 mixtape will be out this Friday,” Chapman said. “We deliberately hand picked each song and the songs were mixed by DJ J-Ray.

The mixtape consists of brand new music from Jadakiss, Ryan Leslie, Keri Hilson, Gucci Mane, Wale, Fabolous, and a couple of new artists like Gameface and J.O.”

The mixtape will be sold for $5 and people interested should email Chapman at kells0589@gmail.com. Information can also be found thekornerstore.blogspot.com or their Twitter, Myspace and Facebook groups.
