Students Tackle Internships

Jason Little, 23, senior, engineering management, Atlanta

“My first internship was with Caterpillar, then Boeing, and last year with General Motors,” Little said. “This summer I will be in Detroit doing Product    Management for Ford Motor Company.”

Aylin Mc Ginnis, 19, sophomore, accounting, Germany

“I will travel to New York on my first internship with the accounting firm Ernst & Young. I am both confident and excited about the opportunity. I don’t feel    overwhelmed because they will train me, so, if I don’t know something I will have the opportunity to learn it.”

Derrick Harris, 21, senior, business administration/finance, Miami

“I will be interning with Tropicana Juice Company. I felt really good to get the internship because in a room of eight applicants, at the site interview they held in Bradenton, I was the only person from an HBCU and I was the only black person there.”

Cynethia Richardson, 23, senior, health information management, Monticello

“With my major we have two sessions of clinical where our clinical professor basically places us in hospitals.  Most times we are placed in our hometown, but since I’m from so close by, I got placed here in Tallahassee at the Cancer Registry at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.”
