The PRodigy Public Relations Firm will host the Strike Pink: Recycle Your Sweats clothing drive featuring Victoria’s Secrets’ PINK from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the School of Journalism & Graphic Communication in front of the Gallery. Members of the FAMU community are encouraged to bring their clean, gently-used clothing to the donation site. All donated items will be presented to the Mothers In Crisis non-profit charity. Donors will receive a $5 Victoria’s Secret PINK coupon for each item donated (limit three coupons per person). The coupons may be used on Thursday, Oct. 1, toward purchases in the VS PINK Pop-Up Store will be held at FAMU Park from 10 am to 5 pm. ANNOUCEMENTS

The Student Government Association would like to announce that tickets for the Baton Rouge game package and the 2008 Homecoming Concert are available. Baton Rouge package tickets will be available until Oct. 15 and are $85. They include transportation, hotel and a game ticket. Student tickets for the 2008 Homecoming Concert will be $28.50. Tickets can be purchased in the ticket booth located in the Student Union building near the post office. The Ladies of the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. are having Project Big Book Bag going on now until Oct. 3.  They are collecting school supplies for children in the Bond Community. The annual FAMU Homecoming Spirit Run will be taking place October 27th, 2008 (the monday of homecoming week) at 9AM. Hosted by the Naval ROTC, run or walk a 3K (2 mile) journey around campus. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners will receive a free gas card. All participants must register on the set Oct 22nd-Oct24th.
