AFC decided while NFC is unclear

The NFL season kicked off Thursday and so many questions are up in the air.

Many people are wondering who the top teams to watch out for in each division are.

The AFC leaders are already put in place, but the NFC is up for grabs.

Everyone knows the New England Patriots will make it to the playoffs. Even though the Patriots were 0-4 in the preseason, they are the most talented in their division. The rest of the teams in their division are up and coming.

Last year, the Patriots advanced to their third Super Bowl game in four seasons and went undefeated last year during the regular season, so no one should expect them to drop off that easily.

In the AFC north it’s anyone’s game. The Cleveland Browns are a top choice in this division because they brought in playmakers for its defense line.

Pittsburgh is in second because of rookie first round pick, running back, Rashard Mendenhall, whose speed will give the Steelers another tool on offensive.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Indianapolis Colts are also some teams to watch out for.

Last year, the Jaguars made the playoffs as a wildcard and won, but fell at the Patriots feet in the divisional playoffs.

But the good thing about the Jaguars is that they upgraded the cornerback and receiver positions, which they needed.

The Colts’ Peyton Manning and coach Tony Dungy have always been on the same page, but with injuries on both sides of the ball, they may fail to go as far as they did last season.

In the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys have a definite spot in the playoffs, but hopefully they will make it out of the first round of the playoffs this time.

If Tony Romo can remain focused this season and not pay as much attention to Jessica Simpson, then maybe they can make it to the Super Bowl this season.

Last year, they were a good team during their regular season. The Cowboys went (13-3) with the help of arrogant Terrell Owens and a great offensive line.

This year some new starters are running back Marion Barber, who led the Cowboys in rushing last season, linebacker Zach Thomas, who came from the Dolphins, and the rookie rushing back, Felix Jones, should add more speed to the Cowboys offense.

Everyone knows that the NFC is up for grabs, especially after the New York Giants’ suprising Super Bowl victory last year.

But just because the Giants won the Super bowl, doesn’t mean that they are going to have the same good fortune to get to there this year.

They will make it to the playoffs as a wildcard.

The Seattle Seahawks have a chance of winning their division. They have had decent season in the last couple of years.

Some teams that we know are already out of the playoffs are the Green Bay Packers because of the loss of their quarterback, Brett Favre and we can definitely exclude the Atlanta Falcons.

We will see what the addition of Jason Taylor will do for the Washington Redskins, and if Adrian Peterson will live up to the hype for the upcoming season in Minnesota.

Also, we’ll see if the Bears can get their act right with a new starter at the quarterback position, but I doubt it.

But personally, I’m putting my money on Dallas…no tears this year.
