Miles keeps football broadcast

Saturday’s first home game is approaching soon but who will be calling the game is still up in the air.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the latest broadcaster for the Rattlers, Roy Eavins was fired less than a month after he was picked to replace Keith Miles, a professor for the School of Journalism and Graphic Communication.

Now Miles who has been announcing the football games for about 25 years , is expected to be back on the airwaves.

Miles could not formally comment on the situation because details are still pending. However, he did say it is likely that he will be broadcasting the game Saturday.

Students supported the move, saying that Miles had done a good job in previous years and should be allowed to continue to do so.

” I have never really noticed a problem with the commentator,” said Q’Vaunda Curry 22, Professional M.B.A student from Quincy.

“I believe Mr. Miles was good at his job and I never had a problem with it,” Curry said.

Curry played basketball for FAMU women’s basketball team and said she never heard complaints about any broadcasts during her time as an athlete.
