The Florida A&M Police Department is investigating an alleged armed robbery that took place on campus earlier Thursday afternoon.
According to Lt. Angela Kirkland of FAMU PD, the robbery occured around 1:50 p.m. on Palmetto Street near Palmetto North Apartments.
A witness who saw the suspect flee said the robber was wearing long pants and a white T-shirt. He also had a low haircut and is 5 feet 7 inches, weighing approximately 150 pounds. The suspect was last seen near Palm Beach Apartments.
He is allegedly armed with a gun.
Kirkland said it is an open investigation and more information will be released after investigators finish following up on leads.
