The FAMU-FSU Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers is hosting conducting a community service project Saturday at 8:15 a.m. We will meet at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. This community service event, sponsored by the Rainbow Rehab, Inc., entails providing landscaping and painting services in the community. Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church will be hosting a Collegiate Soul Fest on Saturday, Sept 22 from 12 – 4 p.m. The church is located on Orange Avenue near Nims Middle School. The FAMU-FSU Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers will be hosting their annual Fall Chapter Leadership Conference Saturday from 12-4pm in room B135 at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. Workshops include “Level 5 Leadership,” “What they didn’t tell you about college,” a junior & senior discussion panel and “What do they do in Grad school?” Everyone is encouraged to attend. St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, invites you to celebrating their 125th anniversary. They are located on 1405 Melvin Street between the corners of Harrison & Bronough and Melvin & Harrison streets, just north of Florida A & M University. On Saturday, Sept. 22 enjoy a free outdoor music festival featuring the FAMU Marching Band and Faculty Jazz Ensembles from 4:00-7:00 p.m. This afternoon of musical performances will feature tributes to Dr. William P. Foster, Dr. Julian White, and to the late Adderley brothers, “Cannonball” and “Nat.” An open afternoon Jazz Jam session will begin at 6:00 p.m. Also join them Sunday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. for selections from the FAMU Flute Choir and a Holy Eucharist.
