Today the Office of Student Activities is requiring all current and prospective members of student clubs and organizations to attend an anti-hazing workshop Sept. 19- Sept. 20. Today the National Society of Black Engineers is hosting a Career Expo Presentation at the the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering in Room B135 at 7 p.m. This presentation will provide information on resumes, interviewing and etc. to preparing for Engineering Day. The FAMU Chapter of NAACP is having a General Body Meeting at 8 p.m. in the B.L. Perry General Classrooms Room 300. The Student Health Services in conjunction with the Sickle Cell Foundation will offer an educational seminar with free screening for the Sickle Cell trait on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. During Sickle Cell Awareness Month we want to remind people how early diagnosis, patient education and proper treatment can considerably improve the quality and length of life of all patients. The FAMU-FSU Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers will be hosting their annual Fall Chapter Leadership Conference on Saturday September 22, 2007 from 12-4 p.m. in room B135 at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. The FAMU Green Coalition CANpaign is holding a competition to collect recyclable cans from students, faculty and staff and educate the campus community about the importance of recycling. The FAMU Rattlers have been challenged by the FSU Seminoles and the TCC Eagles to see which campus can collect the most aluminum cans by October 13 as part of the City and County’s CANpaign. Any student organization, sorority/fraternity or member of the campus community can bring their cans to the Set and receive 35 cents for each pound of aluminum cans collected. St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, invites you to celebrating their 125th anniversary. Tallahassee and African Sister Cities Coalition, in collaboration with FAMU Department of History and Office of International Education and Development, invites you to participate in a 10-day cultural/educational tour or 5-7 week community service field project in Ghana, West Africa during the summer of 2008.
